  • Monday -Thursday: 11 am – 8 pm
  • Friday -Saturday: 11 am – 9 pm
  • Sunday: 11 am – 6 pm

The Highland County Visitor Center is located in an independent section of the Highlander restaurant at the popular intersection of Rt. 220 and Rt. 250 in Monterey, Virginia.  It is run by the Highland County Chamber of Commerce separate from the Highlander restaurant and gift shop.  Highlander staff are available to answer questions and provide information.

Stop on in for local and regional information, and be sure to check out the beautiful custom maple syrup themed brochure holder when you arrive!  It was completed in June of 2024, designed by Chris Swecker, and created by Michael Farrell with concept assistance from Karen Milnes.  The bottle was supplied from Marty Leech and the maple leaves were made by King Signs & Graphics.  Funding for this project came from a VTC ARPA Grant.  Take a photo and share with hashtag #HighlandCountyVA!
